Congratulations @DDrizzie12 !! What part of SCA did you get into? We’re also Evergreen State folks who love USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. DD is there now in Cinematic Arts and Media Studies, and DS is hoping to join her at SCA in Interactive Media. No news yet from DS in the other room…
Son admitted to SCA games, his top choice. 36 ACT, 4.3 W GPA, several AP 5s, ECs and summer programs very game focused. Also accepted to Carnegie Mellon (second choice), UC SC, Drexel, WPI, Utah (all games programs.) Waitlisted: Berkeley (CS), UCLA (CS), Chicago. Still open: NYU.
Yes. My D got in as a Spring admit.
D got accepted to WBB for Fall 2020
I GOT IN!!! 3.4 GPA!
@throwaway15 Due to space constraints, some programs have to defer admitted students’ start dates to the Spring. Sometimes, spaces open, and certain spring admits are allowed to move forward to the fall. There is no guarantee of that though. Otherwise, it is exactly the same as a standard admission. There are many options for the fall… community college to knock out some GEs… study abroad programs, etc
You can review the thread on this topic…
@LucasFire792 Congrats! So much for your “very slim” chances because of your GPA

D was rejected but letter states to meet with a one on one admissions counselor to increase chances as a transfer student in one to 2 semesters, since we have strong ties to USC. Is this normal verbage ? or does it really mea something ?
Does anyone know ?
