Has anyone received the decision email/update yet? Or ONLY Accepted students will receive an email? Sending good wishes to everyone who has applied. It breaks my heart to see my DS so stressed.
I think everyone who applied EA will get either an acceptance or deferral tonight!

Yes, prior to this pop-up it was the notification about the Jan 19 decision release info. Because of this pop-up only I am assuming accepted students have already been notified. As per USC Q&A, the admission decisions for 20-25% of the applications.
Do you know by any chance around what time last year decision was released?

Pretty sure no one has been notified yet. Hang in there, Mom. I remember that stress. He will be OK, no matter what.

My son got an email just now titled, " Welcome to the University of Southern California application (save this email!)". It talks about how to submit an application. I interpret that as he is deferred.

Do you think they do that and then watch everyone’s reactions on these forums and have themselves a laugh? I mean, reading 40K applications must be boring. Gotta inject some fun.

Aanaa, go for a walk. Go out to dinner. Go to a movie. Do something to take your mind off it. I am getting all the “feels” I had last year at this time. I know it is stressful, but you will be OK either way. You and your son need to get your minds off of it and relax.

He has Diploma’s next week. We are in Canada. All week this week were Mid-term exams. Early Jan he had two Diplomas and next week he has Math and Chem Diplomas. Trying my best to support him and keep him calm. But you know kids… they have so much on their plates nowadays. I have no idea how they little, young mind is managing so much stress.
