I’ve read a few pages of posts but I’m still unsure of this whole process…

I was asked for Spring Grades early May and sent them in 2 months ago and have since had the same message saying that they will be reviewed soon…

I just tried logging into the commitment deposit login for the first time and it went through…but when I go to check my application status it just tells me to begin to apply for fall 2009 with no other updates…and I have yet to receive a rejection or acceptance letter

Can someone shed some light to my situation?

And if your wondering, to compare yourself to my stats…

GPA - 3.65 (but 3.95 Sophomore year)
Applying for Junior Year
Coming from Univ. South Carolina (“Fake USC”)
Terrible High School Transcript (2.85)

Tones, congrats! I’ve been following your posts and those hopeless remarks of yours :)… You don’t have to stress any longer! For the past couple days I’ve been checking out the classes for Marshall and figuring out my schedule. It is very exciting. Party tonight and start researching tomorrow!

Hi, I’m new to this site but I’ve been reading this thread for a while now. I just got my acceptance package half an hour ago(!!). But it says my class level will be sophomore instead of the junior which I applied for. I am transferring from a community college and when I last checked the articulation page, I have more than 65 transferrable units, so I suppose that should put me in junior class standing? Does anyone have a similar situation? Who do I go to to verify my class standing? Also, I heard that USC makes people study THEIR set of GE requirements after getting in and people generally cannot graduate in 2 years even if they enter as junior standing, let alone graduating early, is that true?

R_25…, The GE requirements that you will have to fulfill when you get there are category 4 and 6, these two classes are non-transferable and must be taken at USC. Also, you can call USC on Monday and take care of that situation with the Sophomore Junior thing. In my case because I am in the Marshall program as a Junior, I will need to complete 9 core business classes, 4 senior business concentration classes, 2 GE’s, a business writing class, and a math class. A total of 17 classes (68 units) in 4 semesters. YIKES!

da rib king- don’t lose hope, its when you count yourself out
that you really will lose. As long as you have some hope and faith in yourself,
good things will come… in this case in the form of a nice big red package :]

iamuscworthy- have you been abl to access the comittment page yet?

just got my package!! i can’t believe this! i was due to go to irvine last summer but decided to try for sc again so i went to a community college! this shows that determination and motivation help accomplish goals! (not to sound cheesy hehe)

good luck to those still waiting!!

btw, is anyone still thinking bout housing plans? do you think that rooms are all gone already?

oh dear…i still haven’t gotten my letter of rejection/acceptance…

I have a question though, for those who are just getting their acceptance package, is there still room for the July 17 orientation? or is there another date that they made in case?

Also, if my application status says its unable to process it, should i be worried? gaaahh im seriously scared…

i wonder if its safe to assume that if you can’t get into the commitment deposit page right now, you have been rejected…I’m praying desperately that is not the case.
