<p>@rgosula If your son has been offered the $2500, he is not and will not be eligible for the $1000 /yr NMSC college-sponsored scholarship so it makes no sense to reject the $2500. According to the NMSC instructions, a student will only be OFFERED one award. Once the offer is mailed by NMSC, the student is ineligible for any other NMSC award. @alamemom is correct about the half-tuition part being a USC award and not governed by the NMSC rules.</p>
