USC Scholarship results notification date?

BigKev, don’t assume that. I feel like a hypocrite saying that, since in my mind I am always reading into the little things (such as application status messages…) and thinking too much about them. Thing is, every college seems to have what they are “looking for,” and this can even differ from admissions officer to admissions officer. I’ve heard lots of stories about how people would get flat out rejected from Yale or Princeton, but then be taken in enthusiastically by Harvard. All are obviously great schools, but what really makes you “not good enough” at one but good at the other is completely unclear. That said, you obviously would not be in the “not good enough” pile. I do think that Dean’s came back last week, and I luckily got one myself (though affording USC still seems kind of daunting right now). However, acceptances come back through March, and you will likely be among those accepted. Even after the Dean’s, Presidential, and Trustee Scholarships, alamemom said there are tons of others that might also come with your offer of admission.

But don’t worry too much. USC Admissions is busy, and probably doesn’t have a lot of time to respond to everyone’s emails, so I would give it some time. It’s nervewracking, yes, I was with you as everyone else got P and T interviews, and we didn’t. And all of us HS seniors right now are in the same boat waiting for those decisions to get back to us in March and April. I would say keep your spirits up. There actually is not much that you can do in your power right now to change this. But, as many others would agree with me, you are a STRONG applicant, probably even stronger than I was, so if I could get in, then you should be no problem.

Good luck with everything. With all due respect to USC, but if they decide to reject you, then it would be their loss…
