But as far as an actor/actress who wants to pursure (acting for) film and telivivion in LA, would NYU be the wrong choice? I’m not talking about the film program at NYU, but rather the BFA training at both schools in comparision…and as a result would going to USC be the most proactive choice in the long run? Or would the training recieved at Tisch be invaluable…therefore that should be my choice irregardless of the New York location as opposed to LA. The close tie between the film program at USC and the acting program seems pretty cool though.

If you wanna do television I’m not sure NY is where you want to be. The film biz is plenty strong in NY, though. And, of course once you are a big star, you’ll have houses on both coasts I guess I would suggest contacting NYU and see if you can get in touch with a current student. I’m sure that the department has students willing to email/pm prospectives. Maybe do the same for USC. keeping in mind you are only getting that person’s opinions, but atleast you would have some actual info about each department beyond the typical publicity and admissions spin. that’s FWIW.</p>
