[ul]
[li] ECs listed on app: wrestling, bodybuilding, organizing athletic events in my religious community, community service for elderly home (100+ hours), placing in the top 3-5% in several national virtual stock investing competitions, managing several real portfolios, helping others learn about investing and various buying/selling of consumer products.
[/li]

[li] Job/Work Experience: Working for an investment firm over the past year. I wrote about how I have gotten to know my boss well, and the various things I’ve learned from him (he invented elmer’s glue, the glue on post-it notes, clear tape, and book covers). Also a mentorship with the founder/former CEO of Kashi health foods, working sales for Cox Communications, helping a start-up health supplement company, working sales at a gym, working in promotion/marketing for laser dentistry office.
[/li]

[] Essays (subject and responses): I worked pretty hard on it and got help from quite a few people. It was about how I grew up in a wealthier neighborhood, but my parents made me work for everything I had. That sprouted into my first business I started and how I helped a non-profit doing what I loved.
[li] Letters of Recommendation: strong letter from my boss[/li][/ul]Other:

[ul]
[] Other schools applied to: none. I don’t see the point in transferring to a “second-best” school. I want USC and I’ll go to USC one way or another.
[li] Comments: This isn’t stopping me. Writing an appeal, and if that doesn’t work out, I will stay another year and apply next year. Congratulations to all who got in, really great job! You earned it.[/li][/ul]
