thanks for the info paperclipz…and congrats!!

thank you very much and your welcome! good luck

a friend of mine heard from marshall last week, he got in, he has a lower GPA but had the requirment i just finished done last semester

ahhh what was his GPA and school??? damn i’m so anxious… c’mon USC!!

hobo, have you received a grade request?

no… im worried…

u recieve a grade request… this is my third semester in cc… i took a break last fall… i had a 3.84 for two semester… but i;m kinda worry cuz my grade for this semster are pretty bad… cuz i through they won’t look at my spring grades…
help!!!

Neither have I. I have a 3.86, USC transferable should be around 3.3 GPA. My english crit. thinking class was in progress this semester, so I thought the best I could get was a grade request, but no such luck thus far. I’m from a 4-year and applying as a Junior for poli. sci. I called today and the counselor said my app. was still under review - whatever that means. It seems like everybody else has gotten one, so I’m very worried. If you don’t mind sharing what are your stats?

Sorry, USC transferable should be around a 3.83, not 3.3.

Don’t you guys think that if they request your spring semester grades - they are probably very interested in admitting you? Sending transcripts costs money, and it’s a whole lot more time and money on their part too because they have to re-review your materials with the new grades.

It seems to me that, as long as your recent grades are good, the request for spring grades may be a sign you’re in.

yeah but there was that dude who said he got a request for transcripts when he was applying out of high school, got a 4.0 with like two AP classes, and then got rejected.

I’m not letting myself get too hopeful, especially considering how many people on these boards got requests.

I applied to USC as a transfer student to the School of Public Policy and Management (my intended major was management in Marshall School, but I heard Marshall is very competitive). Is admission to the School of Public Policy competitive? Is there a GPA cut off?

Paperclips, are you a 2nd year now or a 2nd year next year? Where was your GPA? How did you get into Marshall already? >.< fjsdlahfasdkjf USC hates me cuz I’m poor. That’ll be my excuse for getting rejected.

I just got my request for spring grades today.

My Transfer GPA is about a 3.5. However I have an issue.

I recieved a D in Bio last semester which brought my term GPA down to 2.9 shutters at the ugly number

The rest of my grades the semester was pretty solid but I’m afraid the D will come back to haunt me. Do you guys think I should write a letter explaining why I did not do well or should I just send out my transcript, cross my fingers and hope that I get in.

WOW usc’s financial aid is awesome … my efc is around 10,000 and they are offering a 25,000 dollar grant haha

this is starting to tempt me away from ucla…

I just got off the phone with an admin person. She told me they’re still working with the business school for a decision. Whatever that means. No transcript request. >.<

Coolant, I’d like to know also. I’m planning on applying there for Fall 07. I have 2 semesters done with a 3.6 GPA, and most of my requirements are done. I’m doing one more semester before I apply. Anyone know how competitive the program is?

can somebody who got the grade request PM me the number to fax grades to? and it also said attention to ?

In my opinion, not receving the grade request doesn’t mean losing the chance. If you are an impressive applicant and everything is quite perfect, USC won’t hesitate to give you the offer. But if the school is hesitating, they will need more information such as your final grades of this semester, to determine your qualification.

So those who do not get the grade request do not need to worry and still have chance to get admitted.Maybe your offer is already on the way!

I admire your positivity. Hopefully that is true.
