USC transfers.

“I disagree with you. I think they want to see what other classes you have taken in the spring that can satisfy prereqs or GE credits. If you don’t all the GEs done, even after seeing spring grades, you probably not getting in.”

doryx- if that is true than S is not getting in and I have no idea why they dragged it this far, as they’ve know his class schedule since Feb

is spring grade request for borderline applicants only?

Some people drop classes during spring. They want to know if you completed the classes stated in the app.

Last year, my friend finished all the spring classes she stated on the application, however she still got rejected after sending in the transcript. btw, she had around 3.6 gpa.

Doryx, yes understand that – need to see completion and grades of, thanks. But this one is no way near completing GE’s… never represented himself as such, either.

I’m sorry, I reread that a couple of times and I don’t comprehend what you are trying to say. Who are you talking about? No one is near completing their GE? Is it just me who’s confused?

do you guys think it matters if you’re not a full time student?

Doryx- sorry, I was referring to your earlier post-
“If you don’t all the GEs done, even after seeing spring grades, you probably not getting in.”

I thought you were implying that that all GE’s had to be finished to get in…

ThirtyOne- Congrats! Surprising that you got in with a 3.1 in HS and only a sophomore transfer.

I’m hoping the same happens with me! 3.215 in HS, but a 4.0 in college (university of houston) with 40 hours and sophomore transfer.

Only thing is that i’m ■■■■■■■■ and applied as a american studies (1st choice) and history (2nd chioce) major(s) instead of undeclared.

Do yall think that I still have time to write a letter to USC and ask them to change my second choice major to undeclared? Can I call them and do that?

I already sent in my spring grades almost 2 weeks ago, so i’m guessing a decision should be arriving soon and the fact that I live all the way in Texas, it would take a while for my letter to get to USC and my decision would be out by then, unless I can do it over the phone…

mmck55, I had my CC mail it in, and it was sent out on the 31st, Ive been calling the admissions office at SC, and they told me that they probably wont have it on file until like thursday or friday and they said it takes them 5-10 to process it. And to clear the whole thing up about having your GE’s completed, you will only be rejected if you are a junior transfer because im pretty sure everything must be completed or in progress during that last semester that you applied in, but if you are a sophmore transfer don’t worry about it because you don’t need to have everything completed. And I think there are also some GE categories “that must be completed at SC” I think regardless if you are a sophmore or junior transfer.

you can be accepted as a junior transfer w/o completing the GEs. This isnt the UCs lol…

o rly? I was under the assumption that you had to complete the majority of the GEs.

i definately didnt complete the GEs and i got in.

well thats good to hear then

uscORbust- nice name

does anyone think if i turn in my spring grades on the 25th it will effect my admissions?

hey thanks SCorbust! I live in west la too . . cosmic connection?

so my GPA is NOT high . . like 3.2 but i got a spring grade request . . what does that mean . . .why wouldn’t they just all and all reject me? Are they just being cruel?

there have been people who have gotten in with a lower gpa

i freakin have a 3.94 now and got a spring request im marshall applicant, but imma get B- in calc , B - in english 106, A- marine bio. im going to drop to a 3.81 probably hoepfully i still get in, or i stay at communit college another year, YUK!!!

USCorBust - It really depends on how you do this semester, how many pre req’s you have done and what major you applied for.

I find it surprising that you got a grade request with a 3.2 as a JR transfer since I was rejected upfront with a 3.6. Do you have a serious upward trend with your grades?

man it’s late and im touching up my research paper for my Shakesphere class (I compared Othello to the Usual Suspects, maybe I shoulda sent this into along with my other stuff to the SC film school :P)
