Apparently, the counselors have been on conference this entire week. No decisions will be made this week, so probably no one will get letters next week.

is it a bad sign if i have never been able to log into sig or oasis?

anyone who didnt get in going to appeal?

socal?

Thanks for the congrats

I thought of applying to neuroscience but I did not have any science pre-reqs for the major done so I decided to do psych because I would fulfill the requirements. Hopefully I could just change to do that major though.

Doryx - you mean all letters should be out by this week?

Hello all,

I am a transfer student from a community college. Just took my spring grades to USC, but once I was there they told me it has to be an official transcript. However, the letter that they had sent me it says that unofficial is one of the ways to submit your transcript, and I had a letter from one of my professor of my class grade since it was not yet updated in the school system. Now dose it has to be official like the admissions office said or go by the letter and its fine with an unofficial and a letter from the professor with a signature. Anyone know?

Hi Everyone,

Is it a bad sign if I still haven’t got anything (spring grades request/acceptance/rejection letter) from USC yet?

I’m really worried…

I have a 3.7 GPA, applied for Communications and second major as Public Relations. Jr. transfer from a California Community College. I have taken more than 130 quarter units in two years.

In fact, I think I will get a rejection letter soon =( Does anyone know if I can change my major when I appeal?

hey guys quick question

for UCs theres a rule where you’re no longer eligible to apply as a transfer student if you have too many units. does the same apply for USC?

btw iwantsc: i dont see how u couldnt get in w/ a 3.7, especially as a communications major since it doesnt seem like its impacted. you should try calling/emailing admissions to ask them whats going on.

for UCs that rule doesn’t apply to community college transfers. But i’m not sure about USC. But I don’t remember reading this information on the USC website.

Well my high school GPA was below 1.0. However, in college it is over 3.75 and I just submited my spring grades. So everything looks good.

do they look much at your high school GPA if you’re a junior transfer?
actually i have tried emailing the admissions office and i haven’t got a reply yet.

not if you have over 30 units. you have more than 4x that amount so dont even worry about it.

look at usc laker, he had below a 1.0 hs gpa and he still got a spring grade request.

actually i want them to look at my high school GPA… i had a 4.17 overall. and in college now, i only have a 3.7 …

…

■■■■■■■

don’t worry i had around a 2.0 in hs and got a spring grade request

bumbumbum - sorry… i didnt mean that
im really so worried. usc is like my dream school… =(

Hey everybody, I’ve been reading this forum for the past month waiting and suffering like the rest of you and I finally got in! I faxed my spring grades last Friday and they mailed the decision on Thursday. I found out on the phone because I told the admission counselor that I was leaving the country for a few weeks. For those of you wondering, I applied to Marshal as a sophmore transfer from a CC. I completed all the prereqs and GE’s with a 4.0 for 32 units.

Best of luck to the rest of you!

Also, does anybody know what our chances of getting housing are this year, especially those of us who are admitted late? Anyone know the chances of getting something like parkside suites, webb tower, or cardinal gardens?

Yea, I got a spring request even with my 2.5 HS GPA.

I just called admissions and they finally got my spring transcripts through the mail, the lady said that the decision will be made and sent out next week. so nervoussssss but even more waiting. I had a weighted 3.3 HS gpa, without being weighted I think it was a 2.9.
