ouch. i’m scared. :(

poor guy dude. i seriously don’t know. i wanna get in like no other.

Just got admitted into USC fall 2006! My first choice major was business but I got accepted into my second major which was economics. It states that if you want to apply once again into Marshall as Business major you can do so at a later date. Im definitely going to try and do that but I was wondering if there was anyone else here that had same situation? I was also wondering how difficult it might be to transfer in there, would it be harder than cc or easier within Sc.

Stats:
-3.6 cumulative(fail in history, which im making up this sem will make it 3.75ish, mentioned situation in essay)
-good letters of rec.
-no spring request at all
-junior transfer
-A’s in micro/macro, A’s in first and 2nd year English, A in Financial ACCTG
-B’s in 1st and 2nd year CALC

Any form of information would help. Good luck to you all.

I GOT IN!!! i got into Marshall!!! i got my letter this tuesday, but hadnt posted because i was on vacation. GL everyone!!!

congrats to u guys! psuperman, what were your stats?

agh, us UCR people are getting owned!

nothing in the mail today… now I gotta wait until Monday :-(

hey technics, what were your stats? GPA, major applied, and completed classes. o ya and did you take english 1C or only 1B???

it’s interesting that shaun has a fail in history and still got in. maybe this means that usc really doesn’t put too much emphasis on stats - but maybe on other items like your essay?

my stats:
3.8 GPA (counting spring grades, i got a 4.0 this spring semester)
I got an F in micro econ in 2001 a semster in which i dropped all my classes and for some reason still got an F ( i retook the class and got an A)
I got A’s in all math and accounting classes.
some clubs (AGS, PTK), some community service, lots of experience

I think my strongest point was that i’ve gotten 4.0 the last two semesters and from 2003 on my gpa is almost a 4.0

I think the essay is the part where you can really sell yourself…stats are very superficial (although needed they do not give much character or personality to the adcoms)

Around this time next month, us UCR folk will know whether we got in or not. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Has anyone recieved the grade request, turned grades in, and then get rejected?!

If accepted, where are you guys going to live?

I’ve actually looked into housing quite extensively. My number one choice, which is open to transfers, is the Parkside apartments. You can get a two person small studio for 605/month and for 640/month (only 35 more) you can get the large two person studio. I bet they’re all taken though.

Sex, if we get in, and there’s space, let’s live there! ;)

I was thinking of living there, too.

Yeah, those look nice and I think that I put in for those (well, actually I put in for any space available with preferance to the above two). What do you guys expect to be the costs of electricity on top of the rent payments each month?

technics, im down. first, let’s get in though.

When I was at SC last summer I stayed at Troy Hall and would be thrilled if I could stay there again as long as I don’t get the 2 anti social ■■■■■■■■■ roomates I had. I wouldn’t be upset with Parkside either.

I’d take A newspaper and the bench on the sidewalk if it meant getting it for sure though

I second the newspaper and bench theory for a troy hall space also!! :)
