<p>If you want to live in a dorm type setting, I can understand… but if you are like me and like a more solitary home… I recommend looking around downtown for housing. There are singles and studios available for around $600-800 a month. That’s, in many cases, cheaper than USC plus removes the possibility of a crazy roommie (which I’ve had plenty of… no more for me thanks). You don’t have to go very far for the area to get a whole lot better than what you get around USC as well.</p>
<p>What is is wrong with Annenburg? Besides, I get financial aid that covers housing, so it is the cheapest option for me…if I choose off-campus then my financial aid gets cut for not having campus housing…so, I have to go with that…hopefully I luck out of the crazy roommate situation…</p>
<p>BTW…I don’t want a dorm at all, I want to get an apartment like Troy Hall or something…</p>

<p>I applied for Creative Writing and English. I’m interested in screenwriting so I’d like to major in CW and minor in Screenwriting. Hopefully it all works out.</p>

<p>Yeah arwin, I hear ya… I mean, it’s just to me… three guys in a single room… heh… whatever USC wants to call it, I call that a dorm type setting. However, I completely understand if financial aid is fronting the bill.</p>
<p>Yeah…I agree that three people in a room is really crowded and the chance of having at least on bad roommate sky-rockets…if I was picking up the tab then I would probably be off campus in a flash</p>
<p>Hopefully the campus apartments don’t feel too much like a dorm…ugg…I hope that you have a lot more space then just one tiny little room

<p>have you been to the USC housing website? You can check out all of the dorms they have panoramic views that you can rotate and see the rooms. Most of them let you see the whole apartment so you can see the living room, bedrooms and bathroom too. Its a great resouce Im hoping to get Troy Hall ,if I’m accepted, too.</p>

I also applied for Creative Writing and I want to minor in Screenwriting =) I’m hoping to try to get it right away too since I’ve already taken a few screenwriting classes at my other university (you have to have taken intro screenwriting at USC to apply).</p>

<p>Yeah…the USC housing website is pretty neat (allowing you to virtually see the entire apartment)…</p>
<p>Yeah, I called housing on Tuesday (as I sent in my deposit and housing form last friday) and she told me to call her back to get my housing decision tomorrow and it will be mailed on Friday (like all housing decisions are made)…Yours will probably be mailed next Friday…I am hoping to persuade her for Troy Hall as those look the best…</p>

<p>Yeah…I have heard from a few people to get denied…(many are not on the cc board)…sadly, this has happened…</p>
<p>Mostly the reason for rejection was because the english pre-req was not completed or they had a low GPA…</p>

<p>no…look back at the way beginning of this thread…(like the 2 or 3 page and on)…I think many of them received their decisions a while back so they might not be responding to this thread anymore…but there are some engineering people out there…</p>
<p>katilyn- thats awesome- maybe we can collab in the fall if i get in I took the intro class last summer and it was a crap shoot since i learned nothing new. My screenplay confused the hell out of my prof too, but she wasn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the vector set </p>
<p>To the rest of you- I just had a bad night… My buddies and I got busted for underage drinking tonight. Luckily this doesn’t go on my record or else USC may have had a reason to reject me outright but that was made up by my dad ripping me a new one for getting caught. </p>
