USC transfers.

i want to be #1000

i just got my ucr transcript… now to send them in and pray.

Goldenjet, I bet our stuff will be waiting for us in the mail tomorrow… Oh and my Stars report is populated, they’ve done an eval on my scripts and gave me credit for USC classes… If you can log into Oasis you can see if they’ve set yours up… I know it’s sort of moot when you’re like a day or so away from knowing anyway… but it was driving me NUTS until I found out… now I don’t give a s*** about the packet  when it comes it comes. Good luck man, and that goes to everyone still waiting as well. I hope to see you guys on the 11th.

this is complete bull, how do they expect their applicants to wait this long. It is just unacceptable.

i have a theory that we’re all accepted, otherwise why would torture us like this?

You USC people are insane.

sick, sadistic pleasure

hobo, you gonna hand deliver those scripts? I know that’s sort of a drive from Riverside, but it may be worth it to get them in fast. Looks like it only took them 1 day to make a decision after I dropped them off… I was afraid of mailing them in last week… like if they got lost/delayed/eaten/disappeared… The wait has really had its toll on my sanity… sigh

actually im not too far from USC since im back at home. I probably will make a trip up there… you were accepted right!?

I didn’t get the letter yet from them, but all of my data is in Oasis… my financial aid, Star report (which shows all of the classes they gave me credit for and what I have left to take to satisfy my degree), ePay, etc… so… looks that way. Now if I get a rejection letter… it will be the sickest joke ever! ;)

wow!!! nice… anyone mind telling me the address / office to drop off the transcripts too… i misplaced my letter :(

Go to the Admissions building… Here’s a map of the campus:

Admissions is G6… there is plenty of street parking so just park on Exposition or Fig… 25cents an hour beats the lot rates… ;)

wow, congrats mr.puppy, i guess that means your in. what was your GPA/major? sophomore or junior transfer?

mrpuppy, what are ur stats? Congrats by the way.

congrats mrpuppy!

stats? And what about those C/D’s?

Thanks… well my stats are hard to really know… I’ll give you some background. I went to USF in Florida as an Engineering student… hated it, got burned out on the school, the area, etc… did terrible. I have a 2.5 GPA for about 60 credits of work in FL… Came out to LA, knew I wanted to transfer but how could I with that GPA? So… went to the local CC, I have a 3.91 for 58 credits (and I’m finishing up a Spanish class this summer for another 3)…

Right now the only credits they’ve accepted for me and given me course credit for is my CC in California… nothing from USF is listed in Stars. Now… that could be a mixed blessing thanks to the GPA  but I am sure they are waiting to go over that stuff with me either at orientation or shortly after the fall semester starts. They’ll have to do a full transcript eval of that stuff, since unlike the CCs out here, they don’t have a guide ready to matriculate the USF classes. So, with that being said, my GPA is pretty good… at the moment  and I’m a Sophmore transfer with 58(61) credits (which should be a class or two away from Junior)… but my status will most likely change by the fall.

what is OASIS? Is it the same as Student Information Gateway (SIG)?
would someone put up a link?

alright, i found it on my own, but where do you get your pin? is it your birthday?

alright…thanks to myself i’ve found and gotten in OASIS, but no information is available in stars or financial aid.

so early, and my day is already ruined :(

i think for oasis, you use your id# and create a password
