<p>Well Trojan, I think if there’s anyone here who deserved to get in, it was you. You’ve been with this thread forever, and to have it end like this, so late in the game - i can only imagine how that feels! :(</p>
<p>I have an idea though, and I think that USC is the type of school that directly focuses on the students’ essay. I think that if a student has stellar stats, but an essay that doesnt make them shine, USC may be inclined to not admit that person. I think that they really pride their students, and they want them to be as diverse as possible. Because of that, I think they may go a little extreme and may be a tad bit too picky even when the stats are stellar.</p>
<p>But don’t get down guys, I had a 3.25 and was accepted for engineering. (it is engineering, however, and am coming from another UC)</p>

<p>really? The admissions lady said that you could appeal but a decision is rarely overturned, unless there is new and compelling information. You have to write a letter to the director of ugrad admissions. I don’t really have any new and compelling information . And it would probably take another eternity to find out if the decision was overturned and if I wasn’t good enough for them with my stats and ECs then I guess its just not meant to be.</p>

<p>Well, they always say that about appeals. And it may be true. However, I feel you have stellar stats, and are coming from a four year institution. You should have been admitted.</p>
