Great points, College Girl. I did not like everyone ragging on you. Guess they were teasing!?
Yeah, I got the letter asking for spring grades. Something about don’t be discouraged… We merely want to know that you’ll graduate in a reasonable amount of time. What does this mean? I have 56 credits. How could I not graduate on time? I want to spend as much time at USC as I can, so I don’t care how many credits transfer as long as I get in! Thanks for the reply CG!

smachine -

did you ask if they would tell you over the phone? I was told that they will tell us tommorrow over the phone.

noo way! r u sure? what do we have to tell them in order for them to tell us our decision.

You have one week to live? LOL JK, SM I feel your pain!

Lost in Space - i never felt like anyone was ragging on me, but just trying to have a little fun in the midst of all this!

smachine - yes, on Monday, they told me that they would tell us over the phone on Thursday. Now whether they actually will…?

Got it CG and I mean this… Best of luck to you and Sex Machine! :)

damn. hopefully they will. thanks lostinspace

Did either of you get that spring grade request with the don’t be discouraged… Yadda… Yadda… Yadda… We just want to be sure you’ll graduate in a reasonable amount of time… What do you guys make of the letter? I’m going crazy here!

did u just receive it recently? cuz we all received it like around beginning of june.

I sent spring grades at the end of May! and thanks, lost in space…

Lost in Space,

That is what my spring grade letter said I had 3.72 from a 4 year private university in NY, Hofstra University before my spring grades and I got a 3.75 for spring which brought my cumulative up to a 3.73 and the rejected me anyway so I think there is no correlation between spring grades and whether you get in or not. If they needed more info and a 3.75 for sping with a 3.73 cum. wasn’t good enough for them then I don’t know what they were looking for. Good luck.

It should have arrived around then, but I got it on the 30th! It was opened too! Like it had not been sealed. I don’t think anyone opened it and kept it for awhile before forwarding it… Who knows? So the no worries routine is standard? You guys got the “be sure that you graduate in a reasonable…”? Is this a line so we don’t accept other offers or is this a positive sign?

wannabe,

I still can’t believe you didn’t get in…

can’t believe that I may not either…

did that make sense?

I called today and spoke with a rep. He said he couldn’t tell me over the phone. I then explained to him how today I have to register for my other school and how I don’t want to if I got accepted…he said the decision is not negative but I should register for fall classes. I’m hoping worst case senario I’m a spring admit?

“Is this a line so we don’t accept other offers or is this a positive sign?”

this one’s yours wannabe…

Yeah cooblue! sounds like a spring admit!!! Congrats!!!

Wow TW! Really sorry to hear that!
That’s a great GPA! Did they assure you that they only wanted “to be sure” that you’ld graduate in a “reasonable amount of time”? I applied to a top state school fom my home state having college credit from 2 top-twenty universities AND my Dad went there. They want me to go two semesters at the CC and try again for spring with only 25 spots and no guarantees! Do you think they know what this does to us? Obviously, we are all qualified. How else would we get this far in the process? Dante had nothing on USC!

CG! My thoughts exactly. If cooblue registers, he’ll lose money after, what, two days? Talk about Purgatory!

I think they are telling him to go ahead and register for fall classes at his current school…, meaning he is admitted to USC for the spring…
is that how you took it cooblue?

Wannabe, where else did you apply? USC or nothing? That’s how I was thinking. Now I’m not so sure. What is admit as an undecided? Without a specific major? Are they admitting based on choice of majors? Jeez, that changes every five minutes for almost everybody in college! I know UC Berkeley gives a breakdown by major for the % of accepts. What is your major Wannabe? CG? SM?
