USC vs. UChicago vs. OSU vs. BostonU vs. Dartmouth vs. 15 other colleges/universities

Just ignore everyone and come to Emory lol. Turn down U Chicago… I am :)

(BU, Amherst, Duke, Emory, USC, Dartmouth, UChicago, and Vanderbilt). "

Put Duke, Emory and Vandy in a cluster and pick one of those three.

If the winner is Duke, then you have Amherst, Duke, USC, Dartmouth and U Chicago.

  • Put Duke and Dartmouth in a cluster and pick one of those two.
  • Then you’ll have 3 clusters: Amherst, (Duke or Dart), and USC + Chicago.
  • Go from there based on urban vs smaller town preferences.

If the winner is Emory, then you have Amherst, Emory, USC, Dartmouth and U Chicago.

  • Then your clusters are urban (Em, USC, Chicago) vs smaller town (Amherst, Dartmouth).
Pick a winner in each and have them go head to head.

If the winner is Vandy, then you have Amherst, Vandy, USC, Dartmouth and U Chicago.

  • Then your clusters are sports / social (Vandy, USC), Chicago, and then Amh / Dart.

BTW, either you want to go to Chicago or you don’t. It’s too unique of a school, IMO, to go to unless you’re dying to go there.

ok keep going with replies please! 4 DAYS LEFT!!!

All of your choices can give you an excellent education. Look over the university websites including the departments in which you may want to major, curriculum, housing, student life, etc. The most important thing is to go to a place you are enthused about. The winner is simply where you can see yourself at the most.

BU, Amherst, Duke, Emory, USC, Dartmouth, UChicago, and Vanderbilt

I think these are the best schools on your list. It would be pretty easy for me to remove BU, Emory, Chicago (social life isn’t for me), USC, and Vandy leaving Amherst, Duke, and Dartmouth to pick between.

hi…University of Chicago, hands down! :)

as an alum, and my daughter will be starting school there next fall, there are SO many misconceptions, rumors and nonsense written about University of Chicago that I scarcely recognize it as the college I attended!

I made lots of great friends, studied intensely, but had lots and lots of yes, FUN  So many activities to choose from in terms of EC, hobbies, art, music, whatever floats your boat. Can hop on a train and be in downtown Chicago before you know it. Museum of Science and Industry just around the corner to walk to when you get bored or need a study break. Lake Michigan right at your front door! Small classes with Professors who teach you and care about your opinions. You are not lost in the crowd, the profs KNOW you. Diverse and interesting study body. And now with the new Arts Center to open in 2012, amongst other things, the options are endless. Tons of fantastic electives. Social life rumors just aren’t true! Our dorm was close knit, we had lots of parties and outings to the city and elsewhere. We studied hard but we played hard, too. Don’t believe everything you may have read about Chicago  I think you’d love it there! Good luck with your decision!

I know plenty of students who have gone and 3 who are going and they love U of Chicago. Don’t believe the no “fun” hype. It’s really ridiculous how people blow things out of proportion.
