Yeah, I’ll be able to get financial aid for the remainder of the time it takes to get my BFA.

I heard about my acceptance yesterday. It was mailed to my local USC school address and not my parent’s house.

Essentially, it’ll be 7 years to get my degree, but I don’t see it as a big deal. I love USC, and I missed out on the college experience my first 2 years anyway. I worked so hard to get into film school, so I’m just happy to have the opportunity.

I’m actually kind of in a same position as you are Kudos… I’m about to finish the 2nd year at a CC, but plan on taking a gap year this coming year to save up some $$ and do other things, then come fall 2008 I’ll be applying to the Film School, but I don’t know if I do get accepted, how long I’ll have to be there to complete the degree (depending on the classes they allow me to transfer).

I’m kind of relieved though to hear they do give FA for however long it takes to complete the degree in case that happens to me… I guess graduating when you’re 25/26 wouldn’t be that bad…

hmm so i just got into UCLA too. now i have to pick…

Well, I don’t think you have to think too hard about your decision. UCLA film is certainly decent and a great tuition bargain for a CA resident but you are out of state and USC is the superior film school by far. Congradulations!
