USF Honors College 7 year Program

I can help you to some extent. I have been accepted with a load of scholarship money for the USF Honors College 7-year program. It is the best safety bet for me. I know few of my friends who are in the program already. It is very simple program with no gimmicks. You maintain a 3.7 GPA and score 30 in MCAT - you matriculate into MD program. No bells and whistles. It is also a non-binding program. If you maintain 3.9+ GPA in Honors school and score over 38 in MCAT and do some great science research, then you can start looking at top 20 med schools with a good possibility of merit scholarships. IMHO, the USF med program is better than FSU in terms of residency match. Look at the average GPA and MCAT score for USF. It is little higher than FSU.

I have applied for various other programs and waiting for offer letters. At the end of the day, I will add the total cost of undergrad education along with med school cost. Then I prepare a spreadsheet and select the program which offers me the best bang for the buck. Good luck.
