Hehehe. My mom (84 years old) watches reruns of Matchgame and Hollywood Squares. If there’s anything more useless than a game show, it’s a 40 year old rerun of a game show!

Charles Nelson Reilly!!! Alec Baldwin played him during one of the greatest Saturday Night Live skits that Will Ferrel ever starred in: “Inside The Actors Guild with James Lipton”. If you think Matchgame was good, this will blow your frickin’ socks off. Then again, I have a strange sense of humor, so maybe it will just retract from your opinion of me. Oh well, see it anyway. It’s on the first “Best of Will Ferrel” DVD.

I’ve been watching Jeopardy since I was a kid. At that time Art Fleming was the host and I think Don Pardo was the announcer. The show was a lot harder back in the day. I have to admit that I still love it and there is no way you will ever get me to watch The Price is Right or have a Bob Barker poster. (If anyone wants, we can start talking about a life-size Harm poster again. That seemed to bring most of the moms out of their shells. )

envee,

My civilian daughter (that would be twin_a) just bought the “Best of Will Ferrell” as a birthday present for my son. You’re right, that’s a great skit.
