Today makes two weeks since the first wave of CNS decisions came out #-o
@hookmepls Yea it would make sense if they waited another week to process everyone who was admitted; if they accepted or declined. Once they were admitted they have two weeks to say yes or no. But weāll see.
I just got an email from UT about transfer housing but Iām still in review??
EDIT: False alarm. āContingent on your acceptanceā¦ā
Does anyone know they send out decisions at a certain time of the week/day? It seems like itās always 4-6pm from this thread but if anyone knows differentā¦
@marisaaudino Based on what Iāve seen, it seems like after 5pm until 7/8pm CST on either Monday, Thursday or Friday. But I have seen a Tuesday. Iām Eastern time so I have to wait even longer, but this is all based off of previous responses, Iāve no concrete proof
can someone pleaseeee chance me. I am so anxious about this!!!
Should be finishing this semester with either a 3.76 or a 3.86
1 LOR from UT alumni
29 hours
1st choice- liberal arts, government
2nd choice- education, applied learning and devlopment- youth studies
essays were last minute, but probably just ok
It seems like the average GPA for liberal arts is around a 3.5 so u should be good
Does anyone know what period, if/when accepted, we can register for courses? 2nd? 3rd?
@ScubaSteve808 Iām not sure but I know the only orientations available for admitted students at this time arenāt until the end of August/September.
Hey all! I applied in March with my first choice journalism and second choice english, I currently have 27 hours and am taking 12 hours with UT extension (Iām hoping that taking the UT courses should help my case but wonāt have those grades back for a couple weeks) so will have 39 hours after this semester. My GPA is currently a 3.60, and after this semester should be a 3.71. I have hundreds of hours of community service, good essays, and 3 solid LORās, however am not sure if my GPA is good enough. Another issue is that my ApplyTexas account did not save 3 credit hours that I submitted from a previous community college, so my application was cancelled a little over a week ago. I immediately submitted an appeal stating how I believe this was an internal service error within the ApplyTexas system as it failed to save the hours I submitted, but still have not heard back. Does anybody know how long it usually takes to hear back from an appeal? I am currently freaking out and any and all help is appreciated.
@k8uthopeful did you try calling the school? Cause i think the only way you can fix that is to talk to admission about it.
@Artix01 Yes I did! I talked to a woman who told me that the only way to try to get it resolved was to appeal
@k8uthopeful I canāt remember the exact date but my appeal took around a month. I appealed early February and it went through in March. I hope everything goes well for you!
@jumpo69 Thanks.
The suspense is getting to me -_-
Iāve been lurking on this thread for about two months and finally decided to join the fun. My semester is done and all I have now is the stress of this wait :]
I also just made an account. APPLYING for MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, 2nd CIVIL ENGINEERING
stats:
4.0 18 hrs fall 2018 UH MECH-E
32 hours AP credit
3 Letters of rec: Calculus prof. English prof. Engineering Prof.(Dean of undergraduate engineering)
Solid resume; ASME,engineers without border UH; metropolitan volunteer program, helped in a professional engineering project that was 26 pages long.
2 good/better than average essays.
As of right now my application is in review, But I am in physics 1 for spring 2018 so, i may be denied pending my spring transcript since my pre req isnt done yet.
4.0 11 hrs spring 2018 Alvin community college, PHYS 1,Chem 2, music apparition.
3.87 7 hrs spring 2018 UH, MATLAB coding for engineers B+, govt A
I was wondering if i should just not even send my spring UH transcipt because if i do my cGPA will be a 3.93 for everything but without it ill be at 4.0.
Still waiting for a decision, if anyone has advice about sending or not sending my UH transcript for spring 2018 lemme know.
Also, applied after high school but didnāt complete application(offered CAPS). Essays are about being offered to play football at MIT and not accepting it due to cost.
@zfol32 Iām in a similar situation, I had a 4.0 and all my pre-reqs were complete when I applied, but I got one B this spring semester bringing my GPA down to 3.92ish
Has anyone received a decision for Computer Science or Electrical Engineering?
@TAMU2UTCS Some did a few weeks ago
@zfol32 if you havenāt completed physics 1 yet, you must submit your spring transcript with it completed for engineering school
