CAP student transferring from UTSA (met all requirements for CAP program), 3.81 GPA, applied to CNS Public Health even though CAP puts me auto into COLA where I applied to Psychology…STILL in review

Hey guys- I HATE to be the bearer of bad news, but I’ve made a few friends since I got accepted (I was going up to campus almost every day from hearing back to when summer classes began on Thursday) and I’ve met a bunch of transfer students from years past. We were discussing the lateness of the decisions this year, and several of them said to me that they didn’t even hear back until mid-July! Definitely hope for the best, but some of you might be waiting another month still (I am SO sorry for everyone who hasn’t heard back yet, but you can do this - UT is so beyond worth it!)
If that does happen, where we don’t hear back for another month, it would be nice if admissions sent out an email apologizing for the delay or updated their website. It’s crazy to not know where you will be going to school two months before the start of the semester, and it’s even crazier to not know where you will be living. Austin’s housing situation is already ridiculous on the regular, it’s going to be so much worse looking for fall housing in July.

Somebody should call and verify. This is outrageous, we waited so long and we might be getting a decision in a later date. Where do that leave us? Its okay to do that if we are going to get accepted anyways, but to be rejected after waiting for so long could potentially break some of us. This situation is a snafu.
I just called the Dallas admissions office and the lady said the latest we will hear is June 15th. I asked her if COLA will hear at a certain day and she gave me the number of another counselor who could answer my question. I didn’t call the lady because honestly I am not sure if I want to know lol

Hey I understand you posted that people might not hear back until July to try and help, but honestly that was really unnecessary and is just going to stress everyone out even more. You should have waited until Friday to assume that might happen. We really don’t need anything else to stress over.
Has anyone heard from engineering? I’m so tired of waiting. If they don’t release the decision before July, I think I might just go to Purdue instead.
