@utarts There are lots of good apartment complexes close to UTSA, but if I were to make a recommendation it’s to avoid University Oaks. The location makes it enticing because it’s (technically) on-campus, but it’s crazily overpriced for what you get. Another pointer for UTSA: it is honestly a must to bring a car or to find a friend you can rely on that has a car because the main campus is really centralized and there are lots of highways nearby, meaning not a lot of places within walking distance. @spicytamale I’m a COLA applicant and have heard absolutely zilch from them. I got into UTD for the fall, was rejected from A&M due to their weird AP credit rules (thank god- the last thing that I want to do is be stuck in CSTAT for the next few years). If I don’t get into UT now I’ll just work on getting into UT law in like two years. I’m just hoping to hear back tomorrow because I have three finals from TR-F and another two to study for for next week and I don’t want to be freaking out about how the hell I’m going to get into any classes for the summer AND fall semesters

Hey, people! I’m an art history major (hopefully doubling as a Humanities major) transferring from SMU. I got accepted to UT Austin April 9th, which seems really early, but I met a Fine Arts Admissions person back in February so that she would know too look for my name.
Don’t give up if you haven’t heard back yet! I’m still waiting to here back from other schools, so I feel your pain. (Plus transfer Facebook page is lame (a bunch of students posting surveys for projects) and housing probably won’t open for transfer students for another month, so you won’t be behind if you get in).

Don’t want to be a downer but don’t get too set on this week. Mid May is next week so it could be then as well. We know how many times they’ve raised our hopes already…
