UW-MADISON TRANSFER FALL 2019

I kind of have a feeling it’ll be tonight. Definitely not getting my hopes up though!

Correct, the common data set!

Does anybody have any idea when they will make announcements regarding Regular Decision applicants?

On their website it says by the end of April.

https://www.admissions.wisc.edu/apply/transfer/deadlines.php

What do you mean common data set?
Oh never mind I figured out

I see people talking about the accept/deny admission thing but I don’t see anything, does this mean anything?

@filopj1097 are you sure you’re looking in the correct place?

You have to pull down the search bar in the student center and search “admissions” to find it.

Has anyone received an evaluation?

@transfer2000 nope. have you?

I don’t have one either. I don’t think we’re going to get one until after decisions honestly.

not yet

Nevermind, just found it. However, I don’t think it means anything.

I hate this… Absoltuely nothing and I was hoping for tonight too!!!

Not today.

I’m so frustrated.

Just thought I’d chime in for those wondering about the transfer credit evaluation. DS was admitted as a transfer for this semester. I believe the notification of admittance was in November and it was probably a month or more later before the transfer evaluation was ready. And they sent several email notifications about it prior to it’s actual release. So I wouldn’t be looking for anything on that front till well after you get your admittance decision.

Hey guys
I am a international transfer
CGPA:3.75
Applied for CE as first major and CS as second alternative major
Strong essay
Published a paper
Internships done as well
Do you think I’ll get admission ?

I’d just wait, no one here is going to be able to give you a good answer that means anything. Unless they are working for UW Admissions, you would be given invalid opinions. We should hear soon.

Agreed with @Realdonaldtrump. Fortunately, UW Madison transfer applicants go through a holistic application review process which means that they look at your entire application rather than just stats. They’re looking at involvement, course rigor/breadth, your transferable credits, your essay… things like that. So essentially everyone is pretty fair game and it’s hard to say if you’d get in or not because we don’t know what specifically they’re looking for on YOUR application.
