Check allpraha.com for lists of movies with scenes shot in Prague and where they were done.

Prague–IMO it’s much more interesting.

I’d go to Copenhagen, the Scandinavian/northern European countries are more my style. Sounds more like your current digs, though, maybe you should go to old Europe instead of the modern one…

Wis75: LOL. I’ve never been to Old Europe. What’s it like?

Never been Prague, but Copenhagen is one of my favorite cities and the
food is fabulous and the Danes are wonderful. The Danish have a certain
“dolce vita” happy approach to life and living. I lived in Denmark as an exchange student.

Never been to Prague but I love Copenhagen. Just the thought of strolling through Tivoli on a summer’s night… Magical.

Of your three cities I’ve only been to London, so no help there. I did love the Stratford-upon-Avon Theatre for a day trip - saw Hamlet in 1977.

I want to know how you have so many points!

Can’t help now, but my S is headed to Prague this summer as past of a 5 week backpacking journey with a friend…I hope to have more information towards the end of July!! Budapest is also in their itinerary, and I’m looking forward to hear about that too.

Praha, and try to see Cesky Krumlov, too!!

Points?

Tuition at USC (now done) on the Marriott credit card
Paying all our bills on the Marriott card
Buying several timeshares from Marriott and paying for them on the Marriott card which is then multiplied by five
Trading 2008 usage of our most recent purchase for 110,000 points (130,000 points still to come)
Touring Marriott time shares
Staying at Marriott hotels and paying with the Marriott card, which is then multiplied by ten

I know buying a timeshare from the developer is probably not the best way, but we do like the points.

I would go to Copenhagen. It is delightful, especially in the Summer. Prague just didn’t resonate with me - it was so crowded, even in April. It is a very beautiful city, but I don’t think it is worth the hype.

(Then again, I’d take Stockholm over either city if you’re interested in Scandinavia, and Prague wouldn’t be one of the top 3 or 4 Eastern European cities I would visit.)
