<p>Mathmon, that is exactly how my H is. He doesn’t want to plan it, he doesn’t really want to think about going and it’s like pulling teeth. But once you get there he’s happy as long as someone else tells him what to do. I think it comes from planning his work life and being in charge there. Vacation is to not do what you do at work.</p>

My post re your sis/ niece staying with the aggressive dog was tongue In cheek. That said, pet friendly hotels let you bring the dog. Most people crate their dog if they leave it unattended in the room.</p>
