<p>yes, a few years ago they had a higher than expected matriculation rate and had to encourage people to defer or study abroad. The housing at New Haven is pretty much fixed. It’s not a place where you can just rent apartments for 100 people</p>

Btw, Blu, i know you applied ED to Penn, but is Dartmouth your top choice b/c you dont’ think you’re getting in after deferral to Penn? Just wondering, cuz u seem SO into Dartmouth… but you applied early to Penn… Just wondering … </p>

<p>haha D is my first choice, but NOT because I was deferred…I started hearing not-such-nice things about Penn after I was deferred. Conversely, everything I heard about Dartmouth made me want it more, until I realized it was much, much more well-suited to me than was Penn, with the exception of location…</p>
<p>Besides. D has a lower acceptance rate than Penn anyway, and since I applied ED, i prob. have a better chance there…not that i WANT it lol</p>
<p>lol ok gotcha… yeah many people can’t understand how I’m sometimes torn between Dartmouth and Penn… cuz to so many , they are polar opposites… but i guess i like the contrast of the city and campus at Penn and the location of Philly among other things… and the undergraduate focus, intimate environment, D-plan, study abroad opportunities etc etc at Dartmouth…
… AND SO MANY MORE REASONS (for both)! lol</p>
