Vanderbilt 2014 EDI Applicants Thread

They will look at your outstanding, fabulous SAT score of 2200  no worries.

Your opinion makes me feel lots better  thanks. hopefully both of us will have good responses next week!

Does anyone know if November SAT scores will arrive at Vandy in time to be considered as part of our applications? Mine went up 100 points, so I REALLY hope so! If not, I’m in serious trouble…

And does anyone know how Vanderbilt configures GPA? I know different places do it differently…for example, my weighted GPA according to my high school is 3.69, but according to UT it’s 3.84. How does Vanderbilt do it? Thanks!

i’m dying i’m dying i’m dying, I have no idea if I’ll get in or not, my GPA is a 3.9 weighted and a 3.55 unweighted and my SATs are 730 reading 700 math. I legitmately cannot wait the next week, anyone know when the letters might hit NJ???

I think they are mailing them out on Monday of next week, so probably it will get to NJ on Thursday

Where did you hear Monday?

I called Vandy today and they said they are hoping to mail it out by Monday

ahh okay thanks so much! Everyone post after they get their letters!!!

im freakin out. anyone know how much they care about sat scores??

i’m pretty sure it’s pretty important, the stats last year for the early decision sat middle 50% were from 1330-1450, and they accepted 45% of the applications. I have a feeling that this year applications may have gone up and it may be harder to get in early decision, but it’s definitely easier ED than RD. They also sent out the letters on the 13th last year, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that it’ll be earlier again this year!

I called today and they said that we would be RECEIVING the letters the 15th but i have a feeling the lady had no idea what she was talking about.

I hope that’s right! I might call tomorrow and ask.

let me know what they say please!

Per admissions office representative, all EDI applicants will receive their decisions, by regular mail, by December 15. (depending on where the applicant lives). She reiterated ā€œreceivedā€ not ā€œmailedā€.

Good Luck!

Admissions office told me the same thing earlier today - we will receive them by the 15th. That must mean that they must be getting mailed either today or tomorrow.

oh my goodness. five more days. i’m freakingout. pleaseee let me get in!!!

ahh that’s so early! I can’t wait I hope everyone gets good news!!!

Heard that if you don’t hear by the 17th you can call.

my college counselor called today and they said they were hoping to send them out tomorrow, and if not then sat. ahhhhh!!!
