I heard the same from my daughter’s school counselor who happened to be on the call with the Vanderbilt admissions officer on Friday and was told that decisions are released on Monday.

So if my DD did not get the school of choice when she applied ed1, is she exempted from the ed binding?

She wanted to do music at Vandy but she didn’t make the cut so they changed her to college of arts and science, which she is not too interested in.

I don’t know. I would think yes since that seems like a valid reason for backing out of ED commitment.

I think if you indicated the second major, you are bound. If you only indicated music, then it will be a rejection and you won’t be on the hook. That’s my understanding, but I could be wrong.

This may have been answered already, but what is the difference in acceptance rates between ED1 and ED2? I’m only finding total ED percentage rate.

Unless you’re a hooked applicant, there shouldn’t be a major difference between the ED1 and ED2 rates(but conventional wisdom states that there’s a larger boost for ED1). Good luck! It comes out in 5 minutes, right?

FWIW: we were asked for tax documents and my daughter was deferred. Its not a sign of acceptance

everyone is asked for tax documents but if you’re asked for different ones a few days before its a great sign

Yes, my daughter was accepted ED1 and submitted the Glimpse video.
