<p>1) In North America, both schools are equally renown in both the private/public sector. However, I am not considering regional partialities that might exist. In addition, consider the size of the alumni base for networking purposes. </p>
<p>2) Vanderbilt, indeed has grade deflation. I think the average hovers around ~3.2-3.4. I have no idea about Mcgill. </p>
<p>3) Asian community at Vanderbilt is small compared to other top American institutions. Not surprisingly however, they tended to be well connected.</p>
