I spoke to someone in the financial aid office specifically about the FAFSA who said not to worry if it isn’t in ahead of the ED decision date, as long as the CSS and everything else is in.

Has anyone spoken to someone at Vassar about the notification date? From what everyone knows, has it ever been earlier than December 8th? Just trying to see if it has to be the second Friday in December or not. On pins and needles here.

I think we’re all just grasping at straws at this point 
As far as I know, its been hanging around that 8th-9th mark (not before or after), and that has fallen at the end of the week in the last few years. At any rate, I’m thinking it’s not today!

Are all ED decisions out today or do they do batches?
I’m not sure. I would imagine they release them all at the same time. My daughter saw a link on her portal at 4pm and she got the email at 407pm

My son was denied. 3.8 uwgpa, 4.2 wpa, 34 ACT, is all-American in an unusual sport and Vassar coach said would put in a good word but would not support his application (due to team needs), published an independent research project with a grad student, speaks Arabic and spent a summer in north Africa mentoring kids. We are all disappointed…

Thanks so much and she did get rejected. I told her exactly what you said…highly highly selective and the only sister school to go coed. She was disappointed but not super crushed. I told her, everything happens for a reason so it may have not been the right fit. Her EA school is UVM and it checks all of the boxes (and offers skiing which she loves).
