I am a teacher who does SAT prep with students through my school (no cost–anyone can sign up for the course), and I really like the SAT 2400 book that was the precursor to this Veritas Prep series. I highly recommend buying it and using the method outlined in that book.

The book stresses that improving your score that is heavily reliant on you putting in time working on SAT prep. I discourage any of my students for signing up for a paid course until they prove to themselves they will sit and do six hours of work per week. If you’re not willing to do the homework, then just sitting in a course or watching videos will not be worth the money. For some people, though, spending money is the only way to force themselves to work, though I think that’s largely because their parents are paying for it and nag them into studying in a way that wouldn’t happen without the financial investment.
