Please clarify…

1. Were you done with the tech school in spring 2019?
2. Have you been at the university the full 2019-2020 year?
3. Are you currently receiving a Pell Grant at your new university?
4. Are you planning to take this summer course at your current university?? That’s important. You must be a matriculated student to receive aid at that school.

I believe you are asking if you can use summer 2019 loan money from your tech school. The answer to that is no. You are no longer a student there.

If summer 2020 is included in your current school for the 2019-2020, then you need to use any remaining loan money from the 2019-2020 year to fund summer.

And you need to ask about Pell money.

If you are taking this summer class at a college where you are not a matriculated student…you can’t get aid at all.

I was hoping I could use loan money from my previous tech school to take cheaper summer classes there. I just found out here and from them that I cannot. I am only eligible for about $2300 at university and part-time will be $4000. Classes at university are three times the cost of a tech school and everything is counted by a credit hour. So because of more hours in summer classes, that’s another credit hour cost. It’s way too much. And the loan money I have already received that was left over has gone to living expenses (food, heat, etc) because my grandmother passed away, and I have more responsibilities now.

Pell is $1500 something and loan is $700 something.
