soccer_guy: UNC does meet 100% need. Their financial aid is really very good there. Admission is tough for an out-of-state student, though it is easier as a transfer. Why don't you just go to your state university for the first year and then apply as a transfer? I think that might serve you better than taking online classes. Is that not a possibility?

Not sure. As much as I would HATE going to WVU, if I only had that option..I guess I may have to. It's the top party school in the country, which I hate, and it's also 5 hours away. Not even sure they will let me in this late, and what kind of aid I could get.

Does WVU have an honors program? If so, try to get in. If it doesn't or you can't, rest assured you can find a peer group with similar interests.

Re: on-line classes -- Ones from regular universities will probably transfer. I wouldn't count on any transferring from Univ of Phoenix. But do check on that with various schools, as I can't say for sure.

Wow-- 5 hours away? WV must be bigger than I thought. Do you have a good community college near you? It might not be what you want right now, but you could gather some good credits for transfer, and it would keep you in the classroom. Some community colleges are really very good, with excellent instructors. Is that a possibility for you?

WVU has some great students. I met an awesome girl in DC when I was doing a NASA internship...an engineering student at WVU.

WV isn't big..just..full of mountains, which makes for curvy roads..which means it's never a straight shot. lol.
