<p>The subsequent versions of RTS games are almost never better than their predecessors…kinda like movies.</p>

<p>The only exceptions I can think of:</p>

<p>Many expansion packs,
Red Alert 2 > RA1,
Age of Empires 2 > Age of Empires 1 (> Age of Empires 3),
Although I would disagree, WarCraft 3 > WC1, WC2</p>
