Virtual Monday Morning Coffee Cart

Good evening, morning birds. I’ve moved on to opening a bottle of red

The colored lights are on outside, the boy has been rousted and I have settled back in with my egg on toast.

You guys get up early!
I’m only up this early cause H leaves at 5am. But the house is freezing so I went back to bed.

Thanks for opening, DeborahT. Everyone - please help yourself to these beignets I brought. I am finishing up my coffee and making my list and checking it twice. Have a wonderful day and wonderful week.

Beignet, I’m there. <basks in="" the="" glow="" of="" saintfan’s="" blinking="" lights=""></basks>

EK, i threw a log on the fire for you. GMT, it’s barely 6 am here and dark outside. The birds aren’t even chirping yet. :)

I’ll have to pass on the beignets after all the Turkey day treats! Enjoying my a cup of coffee and a side of leftover cranberry sauce with plain yogurt this morning. A little cybermonday shopping too…

They’re virtual. Have a beignet, Abasket!

Oh yeah! I KNEW I loved this thread! I’ll take TWO. :)

The boy is out the door . . . 6:30am and I get to luxuriate with my chai, beignet and colored lights a bit longer. Some days it’s nice to have clients who are letting getting back to town. Since I am the 3rd shower today I need to wait a bit for hot water, too. Pesky teenagers!

Looking forward to having a relatively relaxing day of cleaning so I can decorate.
Yesterday was spent on my painfully slow computer & Internet, worrying about my D who is driving down the coast- but who hadn’t used her phone since Saturday morning!
I’ve now heard that she is fine.

I wish I had your day, EK! My lights are up out back only because they are a ‘no cleaning required’ decoration. Also I figured I’d better make hay while the sun shone yesterday. Well . . . I can no longer hear the hot water heater so I guess I’d better sign off and get this day rolling.

Off to get my day rolling now . . . thanks for the early morning company and guilt free beignet! ~O)

I do have lights up already around the china shelf, but that’s only because I hadn’t taken them down from last year!
Have a great day!

I’m not sure if anyone brought bacon to put on the cart. I’ll pass on the baked goods, but I’ll bring some free range, nitrate free bacon.

To answer a question earlier in the thread, Destination Imagination is Odyssey of the Mind. They pretty much just changed the name. When my older son was in? third grade, they went to the world championships for Odyssey of the Mind. It was intriguing, all those little kids and teenagers solving problems and creating things. Many of those kids are the ones who go to hackathons, now that they’re adults.

I have a special treat for you all this Wednesday morning. Buffet breakfast on the house!!! PR event. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to start off with the Greek yogurt and fresh berry parfait, followed by an egg sunny side up, house potatoes, mini Belgian waffle (all I really want is a few bites), Isernio’s chicken sausage, and cup of cocoa. Oh, and a couple of slices of the Maui gold pineapple.

This is going to be a great day!

I’m breathing it in as I sip my coffee au lait, decaff, these days. I’ll slip in some of that cocoa.

Oh yum! I"m in. I’ll start with some fresh berries in my already procured yogurt and think about it from there. I’m still peeling my eyes open.

Actually some of busdriver’s bacon would hit the spot. I just have to be sure that my body doesn’t suddenly think it’s the weekend and decide to go back to bed.

I used to work for a place that put out a handsome spread once a month. It was awesome. Marketing and sales organization.

@Deborah T: Bagels too??
