Visa for India?

LOL HImom. I always tell people going to India that they might as well be going to Mars. With hotter weather  It’s an amazing country where you’ll see amazing sights and experience exoticism like nowhere else on earth. But it can also be a very trying trip.

Well, am used to plane rides of 11+ hours, so as long as there are few stops, I think it is exciting!

H is apprehensive when we travel that we will have allergies due to cigarette smoke or 3rd hand smoke or mold or mildew, which does detract from the joy of travel. Sadly we are gettungly increasingly sensitized as we age. :frowning:

Update: The online Visa is legit, worked for my friend; took less than 24 hours to get. I did not go, but my friend and her not-on-good-terms ex (which is why she wanted my company) both attended and were civil. India not on my bucket list.

Regardless of the type u apply for, make sure YOU ACTUALLY READ it to VERIFY that that’s the kind of visa they put in your passport. We got burned by this once.

We applied for multi-entry visas for each of us in the family, but somehow S1 ended up w a single entry visa in his passport. When we were arrived in India, airport immigration wouldn’t let S1 enter the country bcs he had already “used” his single entry. So we ended up “eating” the hotel room we prepaid for, and stayed in Mumbai airport for 26 hours until we could get on the flight out on the next day.
