I would definitely plan your own trip. Scholars Day is for all scholarships students, not just honors. The main advantage would be to meet some other honors kids, but other than that you could do well on your own. Call the honors college and they will set up a meeting to answer all your questions about the college. I’ll bet they could also set up some class visits and maybe an overnight with an honors student and you might even get a more personal feel.</p>
<p>If sons stats are high enough that he might get Mcnair, those students get a whole weekend dedicated to them which is great. Not sure what standards are for that since we’re instate. My child did Carolina scholar weekend and friends she made there are her best friends now.</p>
