visits for Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, Williams, Amhers, Columbia, Univ. of Chicago from Yale?

If you don’t have a car, you will have to schlep your luggage around a lot more. If you want to minimize difficult driving, I would suggest the itinerary in post 6, in which the only potentially difficult part will be driving out of Boston and back in.

Dear Everyone,
Thank you all again for your kind-hearted suggestions and ideas. They have been really instrumental and plentiful in gearing us to plan the trip. After my son checks his schedules for the things he need to come back town for, we decided to narrow down the list quite a bit. We will only be in New Haven, New York, Princeton and Boston areas for visit. With these, the itinerary becomes much more manageable and efficient. For the ones we wished yet unable to visit this time, hopefully we could do so in the future.
Again it is a great delight to “cyber-meet and talk” with you all here in CC. Thank you for the time and suggestions you have given us and the wisdom shared! Hope we will cross again in the CC forum. Till then take care and have a joyful weekend!:))

Good luck, @hannat , and have a great trip!

Thanks!!

Try to go to the info session at some of the schools. It is very instructive to compare what different schools emphasize. For example Harvard highlights their residential colleges and Dartmouth never mentioned Greek life. You can skip the walking tours at Ivys and walk around yourself. They don’t take you inside buildings anyway. The LAC tours are worth going on. At Amherst we even got to go into a random unstaged dorm room
