Waiting...

For those of you with “just normally outstanding” applicants waiting for an appointment… be patient.
My son was one of those average applicants, but had a strong interview with his MOC and won a primary nomination. His BGO had warned us that Florida was a HIGHLY competitive district with hundreds of applicants - not the most encouraging information. And yet, he got his phone call on February 1, 2005 but no one was home… so they called at 7:15am the next day!
One midshipman from our area (I believe he is class of 2010) was wait listed and got his call the DAY BEFORE I-day! He quickly changed plane reservations (he had accepted an appointment to another service academy) and flew to Annapolis.
Hold on to your dreams… and as one parent said, pay your plan “B” school’s deposit “just in case”.
