I read your post in the other thread. It appears that my son is in a similar boat as you - applied only to CSE but admitted into CLA. On MyU, he is listed as “Admit alternate, waitlist other”. His stats are similar to yours (only lower GPA but higher ACT, and with strong upward trend). I called UMTC admissions, and they told me that he was admitted into CLA but will be considered for CSE if there is space. I did some research, and here is last year’s info:
