For the Class of 2016, Stony Brook offered 2884 spots on the waitlist, with 1214 students accepting their spot on the waitlist. Out of those 1214 students, 169 of them were offered enrollment. So that means there is approximately a 14% acceptance rate for those placed on the waitlist however I’m sure this number varies year to year as there are different yields each year however similar. I’m not sure if there is a waitlist supplemental form offered by Stony Brook but if there is I recommend filling it out and listing any accomplishments or awards you have earned from the time you applied until now.</p>
