Another option would be to call back and ask for the contact information (e.g. email address) without identifying yourself as a waitlist student. You could say what state you were from and that you were wondering when the rep would be coming to your area (e.g. for college fairs). Another option that would definitely work would be to get an alum you know to make the call. There is no way the admissions office is going to blow off an alum. Good luck!</p>
