Wake Forest vs Trinity University

I will say that my daughter’s experience in her first year at Wake has not been that. She has found that faculty and classes can be opportunities/places to explore her intellectual curiosities—something she had lost in high school. This has been the best thing —for her and me, I think—about her first year.

My son graduated from Wake Forest two years ago. Three of his fraternity pledge class of about 30 are in med school now.

Disagree with these overly broad statements. While there is some degree of accuracy, the assertions are too simplistic.

WFU’s nickname is “Work Forest”.

Overall, the students are at a higher level academically at WFU.

Consider the undergraduate & graduate enrollment at each school.

You cherry picked my comments/ really? I was trying to be completely transparent with where my information came from. Nothing about your comment was a non judgmental and non- biased contribution to the ask for this young lady.

Based on available data from 2024–2026, both Trinity University (TX) and Wake Forest University are strong undergraduate institutions for pre-med students, but they differ in scale, culture, and specific placement data. Trinity University provides high success rates for qualified applicants ( citing 90% for those with 3.6+ GPA), while Wake Forest offers a larger research-focused environment with strong regional ties.

I am not sure about this specifically, but I would consider where you want to live long-term, too if you don’t go to med school.

Trinity U is a regional name (first year 2025 home states vs. wake - couldn’t quickly find apples to apples). If you want to move to the Northeast or Chicago(as an example), people may not have heard of Trinity U (or will know nothing about it) and will confuse it with Trinity College (which may or may not be a good thing to you) IMO. Obviously, if you do go to med school, this will not matter in the slightest, and probably doesn’t matter in the slightest after your first job anyway…but just pointing out the name recognition is going to be different nationally…

Also if you want to stay in TX or the west or south… ignore this 100%
