I got deferred in early decision 1 for class of 2028. What is the chance to get in the regular decision?
Welcome to CC! That is difficult to answer without knowing your stats, application profile, etc. Historically W&L has accepted close to 50% of the incoming class in the ED round, but a good portion of those are recruited athletes and Questbridge applicants.

Donât think my daughterâs acceptance letter mentioned anything about Johnson yesterday, so I assume finalists will be notified separately.
Does anyone know if all Johnson applicants are notified, regardless of their status, or do they only notify those chosen as finalists?
Also, any tips on appealing financial aid offer??

In the past, only Johnson finalists were notified.
Hopefully someone else can help with your question about appealing FA. I have heard from many families that the FA office is very easy to work with.

For anyone that could answer, Iâm wondering if itâs wise/advisable to mention merit offers from other schools (so much lower cost of attendance) when appealing financial aid?
This is not specific to W&L, but as a general rule, if a school looks at what other schools do, itâs to compare financial aid with peer schools. Since W&L only gives certain merit scholarships, and not merit as a matter of course, I doubt another schoolâs merit offer would change what W&L does. Of course, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

When will I know if I am a scholarship finalist or winner?
Finalists for the Johnson Scholarship will be notified in early February and invited to campus for the scholarship selection competition. Scholarship winners will be notified in mid-March with full details about the scholarship award.
