Not really…at a small, private school, it can actually be harder to stand out/compete with classmates who are all potentially competitive. My kids went to a small private middle school. I had no idea how my kids stacked up when all the kids were basically on the same level. It’s only when they went to a huge public high school that I got a sense of their skills compared to their peers.
