Seems this fraud is becoming more common. I’ve also read about scammers literally taking over your account so they can access your stored phone passwords, two step verification, etc. - you lose access to your own number when they convince a rep that you got a new phone they transfer it to theirs.
Yikes! With T-Mobile, our $60 for 2 lines includes all taxes and fees and unlimited voice, text and data. It’s troubling reading about the data skimming and splitting.
So Verizon essentially dismantled our online account today as part of avoiding more fraud. I have to re-set up the account completely. Will do if necessary/helpful, I guess.
