Weight loss drug thread for usage advice (not debating)

I had one problem with the pen on my 4th dose when I couldn’t get it to fire. I think I used 3 needles before it worked.

I did my 6th injection on Sunday, 2nd at 5mg, and it went well. With the first 5mg I was quite dizzy and lightheaded, so I made sure I had plenty to drink before and after.

Travel. Our overseas trips tend to be longer than 2 weeks, so I’ve worried as well. Lilly says Zepbound can be left out of the fridge for 21 (?) days, and there are those cold pack cases, but what if it’s for longer than we have doses? Can they authorize additional? We’re on the Bridge program and I wonder if we’d have to pay full retail or would it still be at $50.

I feel like I’m interrupting an ongoing conversation about shots! But, I’m on the pill…transitioned up to 9mg yesterday and boy can I tell it. I am having difficulty eating at all now. Forced some cottage cheese and blueberries down for lunch. Will drink some beef bone broth down for a snack for more protein. Thinking about eating when you feel like you just finished a Thanksgiving meal is not appetizing at all! I will continue for 2 full weeks to see if I can adapt. If not, I will go back down to 4mg. I’m still losing each week - it is a breeze but must focus on protein first. I get how it can be dangerous and easy to starve yourself and lose muscle.

I forget about food. If I don’t force myself to eat in the morning, I wouldn’t eat all day and not feel hungry. I usually have full-fat Greek yogurt with a 2T of muesli and a banana or blueberries. Today it was 2 HB eggs & a piece of toast. It’s 2:30 here and I am telling myself to eat lunch (breakfast wasn’t till 9:30).

Amazing isn’t it. I get why they force the protein because it is so much easier to eat something “light” so you don’t feel bloated…but, that’s what my protein drink is for I guess. I got 1,000 calories today and that’s about all I’m getting…struggled to get that. But got my protein!

FYI. One more reason to avoid compounded versions
