Yay Ema!!! 35#s is huge accomplishment!!! I have lost 15# and I feel great lately. Think how happy your knees are that they are carrying around so much less weight.

My favorite pinterest quote “Do not treat yourself with food - you are not a dog!” I struggle with this, so I like the quote!

Ema, 35 pounds is a great accomplishment. I’m sorry you don’t feel more successful about it. I get a kick when people periodically tell me they can tell the difference. Amusingly they say this compared to a year ago when I weighed what I way today, not compared to three years ago. I think it takes a while for the body to catch up with the weight.

35 lbs you worked hard and I hope you can feel good about yourself.
My healthy deed of the day is I am cutting up fresh cucumber, carrot, celery and peppers for my drive to S F tomorrow. I also will make sandwiches for the drive. I know the bread isn’t the best but I figure it is a huge improvement over stopping on the highway to eat out. Drinks will be water and iced tea.

Congrats, Ema!!! That is wonderful news. I think you should go treat yourself to a new swimsuit with a lovely parea to go over it until you feel like showing off!

I am still here Jym. Feeling bloated and dense. If you know what I mean. I think I will go for a long walk and get some air today. Tonight is corned beef and cabbage at my sister’s house. How bad is that to eat? Guess I’ll go heavy on the cabbage and carrots and light on the beef and potatoes?

Looks like its just you and me, EPTR. I am no longer afraid to step on the scale, which is a start. I totally get the “bloated and dense”. My fingers are swollen and I cant get my rings off. Six mos ago they were spinning around on my fingers :(. Nut, I’ve lost 3.5 lbs in 6 days! Yes, its probably all water, but its a start.

I’m still here! Just nothing much to report; holding on to my current level and trying to resist temptation. I creep up, I drop back, creep up, drop back. Will go on the Wii fit in a few minutes to check in and exercise. I’m still utilizing the weight loss life style established nearly three years back; just not as good at it as I was!

Still waiting for the colonoscopy to see how much (if at all) future diet needs to change, still feeling the stiffness from the ankle pins and plate and anticipating outpatient surgery in a month or so to get them removed, DH is back east with his sister helping move his nearly 97 year old mother to hospice after her recent stroke and expecting it won’t be long, DS is still unemployed and honestly I think he’ll be with us forever. Started drawing Social Security and feeling old.

Sorry to vent; feeling down about my empty life that seems to have been on hold for years. But so thankful that I’m still about 40 pounds down from where I started this weight loss journey, as they say on reality TV.

OK, enough, will try to go positive for the rest of the day. I’m glad there are still a few of us hanging on in this thread!

Have cut out white carbs and that seems to help. Am holding within 2 pounds of my low but am hoping I can get tot eh century mark (or better, to 25 BMI) by April 10th, which will be the third anniversary of this adventure. Am trying out two exercise periods a day to see if I can get more done over two than getting overtired in one.

A very alert nurse asked some excellent questions the other day which have provided a definitive link between my chemo and the build up of pressure in my lungs and around my heart. Cardiologist has added Lasix, so I have a new form of exercise – running to the bathroom! I take the Lasix every other day and can tell the difference. It’s not like I can stop either the chemo or the cardiac meds, so there we are.

This morning I was back down to November’s weight, but then we went and had BBQ for lunch. I know from experience it will probably take a couple of days to recover! On the plus side went for a short walk yesterday, and a good two hours at the gym today, before our indulgences.

Back for my San Francisco weekend. I will brave the scale tomorrow. I ate but I walked. Hope it balances out somewhat. Guilty pleasure of the weekend-fried chicken followed by ice cream. Though H, D and I all share 2 scoops.
I am thankful for all of you still hanging in here. I miss those of you who are no longer posting.

Hi all: New to this particular thread. I’ll admit I haven’t read through this thread too thoroughly and perhaps there is a better thread for my question: Does anybody know if the weight watchers app disappears from the iPhone or becomes non-functional once I stop my monthly payments to weight watchers? I have the general process or gist of which foods are good points and which are too many points, but it sure has been handy for checking out foods, entering weight, etc, Paying $40ish bucks a month to WW at this point though for this feature seems a little pricey. Thanks for any help!

I would guess that your account would become inaccessible and render the app useless. I wonder if you can cancel and re-register to take advantage of current prices… for my online membership I only pay $20 a month.

I have the WW app but haven’t used it in ages. I just tried to open it and it asked for my log in. I don’t remember it. I imagine that it would then ask me to renew since I haven’t paid for it in months.
