If I could count the number of times I’ve heard “I hear it’s white and preppy, but I know people of color who go there and are happy.” I’ve got two sets of African American friends who sent their kids there and are telling everyone to send their kids there for the reasons I mentioned above.
I think Trinity is suffering from vestiges of the past when they were decidedly WASP-y and conservative; the baby Dartmouth of the NESCACs in the late 80’s (old folks on the board will understand the reference). And the frat thing is likely about the well-publicized fight between the school and alums about I don’t know what.
But you go to an ISL now, so not sure why competing with Nepo-babies would be a problem. You’re doing that now.
My buddies son ran for them and they seem sprint and jumps heavy and distance light. Not sure if that will be the case when you get there, but you can never be too deep in distance. Especially indoors.
