Wesleyan Class of 2018 ED I Thread

danielfelsen, thatll be hilarious

And I can’t type but honestly driving isn’t that great and thanks guys…it’s funny because my stats are about the same as everyone else’s but I feel like because that is what is expected I won’t have a chance but you guys are right,we all have a chance and the decision is out of our hands right now.

I noticed a small grammar mistake in my personal narrative. I showed it to 5 adults and no one noticed, until I did last week.

i’m sure it’s fine  like you said, it’s a small mistake and everyone makes those

haha i forgot to delete an extra word in the additional info but i dont think it matters. only bad when its the name of a diff school haha

That’s funny, I spent so many hours analyzing the activity page, it wasn’t even funny… I still managed to leave things out. This community we have created is so nice!

Yeah I proofread and redrafted my essay. I made a mistake when I wrote Composer “composing Pieces for…” accidentally capitalized that damn P. but a minor mistake they wont be like wow this kid has no clue how to write! haha. and yes the decision is out of our hands and nothing you can do now. also its very possible all of us will get in because if you think about it 42 percent acceptance rate last year thats almost every other person.

and yeah i transferred schools after freshman year which i think may have worked for my advantage because for my reasoning in the additional info it sounds something a wes kid would say.

but still its wes! also ed 1 has a higher acceptance rate than ed 2 so another plus

oh i didnt know that. does any1 know the stats of ed1 applicants?

We have a lot going in our favor because of the decision to apply ED 1!

i think theyre lower because the admitted students scores were higher than the enrolled ones

Yeah they did tell me that they value ED applications higher than RD, which is not a common thing for schools to admit. I noticed that they have a low number of people decide to go out of the pool of RD accepted students so they want as many people committed as they can.

However their ED averages are still intimidating

I kinda messed up with ED 1, but I don’t think I can mention it until we get decisions because it could be a unique factor. Not a positive one though, it definitely didn’t work in my favor

They are intimidating, but our commitment must at least be a little bit of a plus for us!

whatdo you mean it wont work in your favor?

yeah ED helps a lot. my interviewer told me I should apply ED although he probably says that to everyone haha. but yeah considering their enrolled scores are lower I would imagine its easier to get in ED. also the acceptance rate for ED is more than 20% higher.

and 50% of the class is composed of ed people

this quote sums everything up.

“Meanwhile, for a glimpse into the minds of caged, foaming-at-the-mouth applicants, you can always head over to the College Confidential forums, which generally bills itself as the web’s top destination for, well, caged, foaming-at-the-mouth applicants.”

hahaha perfect. i’m surprised not that many other people have been posting in this thread
